Portfolio

Below is a sampling of work I've created over the years.

Lithophane Box

A lithophane is a 3D printed "photo" that's backlit to show all of the detail. The darker parts of a photo are printed thicker and lighter spots thinner. This makes for a very cool gift.

I built this backlit lithophane and box for my wife, who is a divemaster and boat captain. The box is curly maple with walnut miter keys and the lithophane is backlit by a LED grid panel installed into the box.

Steel and Walnut TV Console

I recently got into welding, so what better first project than a stand for my new TV? Built with 1-1/2" steel square tubing and a 2 inch thick Bastone walnut live edge top, this stand is a monster.

Geometric Pantry Door

A close friend of ours wanted a custom door for their pantry and wanted it to match the geometric dog door. Frosted acrylic is nestled behind the geometric wood, allowing the pantry to allow light through but not be able see everything inside. Assembled with all half-lap and dowel joinery, this door is built to last. One of my favorite woodworking projects I've ever done.

Frames

One of my favorite things to build is picture/art frames. It's surprisingly difficult to get a clean result, but the possibilities are endless. It's also challenging to match the frame to the artwork/photo, but when done right, it really completes the package.

EZski Merch Design

I recently worked with EZski, a local business who fabricates a very unique Jet Ski hauler. The owner was interested in some wireframe/blueprint style renders to put on some upcoming merch. I modeled the hauler, rendered out the wireframe drawing, and threw some shirt mockups together. Select "See More" for the shirt mockups and a beauty shot render of the hauler. And definitely go check out EZski's website below.

Custom Gun Displays

JR Custom Guns, out of the Tampa area in Florida, creates stunning, competition ready firearms. They requested some custom display stands that complement their final pieces. Bases are walnut, with custom designed 3D printed feet, magazine retainer, and a display stand for interchangeable laser engraved display cards.
